I don’t know about you but I seem to be getting more and more ‘Scam’ e-mails and occasionally people on the phone trying to talk me into giving them my bank details etc. and it’s getting difficult to work out who is genuine and who is a fraudster?
At the top of this section is a link to a great little booklet produced by the Metropolitan Police, which gives you some very helpful and relevant info to help you avoid and deal with all of the fake e-mails and telephone calls which we are getting right now.
I’ve read it myself and it taught me a lot of ways to avoid being taken in by these awful people and to protect myself and my family from being caught up in any of the many ‘phishing’ and telephone ‘cons’ which seem to get more sophisticated and believable every week!
Please take a look, it could save you a fortune and a lot of time and trouble sorting out the problems these horrible people cause.
It’s directly from the Met. Police website so it’s a completely safe link.
There’s a 100% safe download area if you want a printable copy of the booklet for yourself and your friends/family, or just to save on your computer for future reference.
